The Archives of the Real Maestranza conserve nearly 6,000 bullfighting posters, an exceptional collection which covers the period from the first half of the XVIIIth century up to the present day. Printed testimonies which illustrate the evolution of bullfighting with a wealth of information about the breeding of bulls, matadors, teams, organization and rules, anniversary celebrations and events both social and bullfighting, through which the history of the city of Seville is recounted in particular, and that of the Bullfighting Festival in general.
